I offer stress and trauma release coaching and therapy on a one to one basis for individuals of all ages. I specialise in reconnecting with your brain-body system so you are back in the driving seat.
Stress and trauma is not just in your head - it is also linked to your body. Your body responds to every thought or word you speak, it hears or what it sees and feels outside of you. It's constantly mapping and assessing whether you are safe or not by assessing actual or perceived danger. It has split second responses if danger is perceived impacting your digestion, breathing and circulatory system. If it does not fully come back to it's zero point by releasing the adrenaline and other body signals, it can get stuck in an over reactive or under reactive state which impacts your physical and/or mental health and well-being. That's where non-talk therapies can help. I often have clients who book with me as a direct result of a recommendation from their psychotherapist or counsellor or because they have done talking therapy for a long time and feel ready to release through the body.
Most people come with a clear idea of one of the therapies that has been recommended. We often start there, although my sessions are usually a blend of tools and techniques because I will always refer back to how the body responds and ways to build resilience or shift to a more comfortable or pleasant state of being.
